Toronto Fringe hit "YellowZoned" makes Hamilton debut

YellowZoned does a ONE NIGHT ONLY event in Hamilton after debuting in the 2016 Toronto Fringe Festival!

Mooney on Theatre says

"It's an emotional and realistic look at how anxiety manifests itself as a mental illness."

My Entertainment World says

"In a world full of young people shouting their stories, this one should not be missed"

and describes the show as "raw, utterly vibrant and impossible to look away from."

This one woman show is referred as a diary written out loud. Performed, written and directed by Alia Ettienne, YellowZoned is a day in the life of a woman in her early twenties. While battling with her anxiety disorder and attempting adulthood in a sanest and sometimes unforgiving world she touches on subjects such as being first generation, dating and being bare feet on the TTC.

She speaks of the anxiety of being a first generation Canadian in her family, holding the weight of an immigrant’s future with every choice she makes. The fear of failing, not only herself, but the family that made the trek to Canada in hopes of a better future is a familiar feeling and one that is very familiar to so many people.Though, it does tackle dark issues, Ettienne shows her humour and social commentary on life.

Red Pants Productions is excited to be collaborating with You, Me and Us in bringing their Toronto Fringe show to the Staircase Theatre in Hamilton!
